Why did you get involved as an academic advisor at UCSB?

"I'm fascinated by the stories we have to tell and how they define us, so I naturally gravitated to advising as my long term career goal. It is also extremely rewarding to be a small piece of the puzzle in terms of helping and advising our students and it is something I remind myself of very often."
